This is where you'll see some of the custom Mausers I built from surplus rifles that were shipped into the U.S. over the years. You don't need to spend a fortune to have a custom Mauser built. In fact, you can have one built for well under $1000. With all the aftermarket custom parts available today, you can have one in any flavor you like. If you have some ideas about how you want it to look, chances are I can build it. I can install a barrel, refinish, bed the stock, drill & tap the receiver for a base and other custom work. You have so many options for these fine rifles.

custom 1895 german made chilean mauser
This is a German made 1895 Chilean small ring Mauser. I built this custom rifle for a customer who wanted a nice hunting rifle and didn't want to buy a commercial rifle to hunt with. The following is a list of parts I used in the building of this custom rifle. The barrel is an Adams&Bennett match grade carbon steel in 308 with a 11 degree target crown, Timney Sportsman Trigger adjusted to 3lbs, Timney MKII safety, Redfield 1 piece base, rings, and tactical bolt handle which I made. I drilled & tapped the receiver for the base, bent and welded the bolt handle. The stock is a Bell & Carlson checkered fiberglass that I steel bedded to the receiver. Final finish is mil-spec parkerizing.This rifle shoots better than 1/2" at 100 yards with Federal Premium 165gr. soft points. The total cost of this rifle was about $1200.
Here's a close up of the tactical bolt knob I made and installed on the modified bolt handle. You can also see the Redfield base installed on top of the receiver.
This photo shows the German markings on the left side of the receiver .The markings are still very sharp and clear as they should be.
